TrendScale Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how TrendScale ("TrendScale", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with our website at trendscale.net, our internal performance marketing platform (app.trendscale.net), and the services we provide to our clients. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
TrendScale is a performance advertising agency that builds and manages paid media campaigns for our clients across Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, Snapchat, Google, and similar advertising platforms. Most of the data we handle belongs to our business clients, not consumers. This policy explains both.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to three groups:
- Visitors to trendscale.net. Anyone who visits our public website, fills in a contact form, or otherwise interacts with us before becoming a client.
- TrendScale clients. Businesses that engage TrendScale to manage their paid advertising operations.
- Users of the TrendScale platform (app.trendscale.net). Authorized client representatives and TrendScale team members who access our internal operations dashboard.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
When you contact us, sign a service agreement, or use the TrendScale platform, we may collect:
- Business contact information (company name, role, work email, phone, billing address)
- Payment and billing information (collected and processed by our payment processors; we do not store full card numbers)
- Brand identity assets you choose to share with us (logos, brand guidelines, product photography, voice and tone documentation)
- Access credentials, integration tokens, or grants of access you authorize us to use on your behalf to manage your advertising accounts
- Communications you send to us (email, Slack, WhatsApp, internal platform messages)
2.2 Information collected automatically when you use our services
When you use trendscale.net or the TrendScale platform, we may automatically collect:
- Device and browser information (IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers)
- Usage data (pages visited, features used, time spent, click patterns within the platform)
- Cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, and analytics
2.3 Information collected from advertising platforms on your behalf
When you grant TrendScale access to your advertising accounts (such as your Meta Business Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Snapchat Ads Manager, or Google Ads account), we collect data those platforms provide to authorized partners, which may include:
- Campaign, ad set, and ad-level performance metrics (spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, ROAS, hook rate, hold rate, frequency, demographics, placements)
- Creative assets (videos, images, ad copy) you have published or that we have produced on your behalf
- Audience configuration metadata (targeting parameters, custom audiences, lookalike audience definitions; we do not access individual end-user identifying data within these audiences)
- Account-level configuration data (ad accounts, pixels, conversion events, naming conventions, billing settings as needed)
This data is collected through official APIs provided by the advertising platforms (such as the Meta Marketing API) under permissions you explicitly granted to TrendScale through your Business Manager (or equivalent platform) settings.
2.4 What we do NOT collect
We want to be specific about what we do not handle:
- We do not access personally identifying information about your customers, leads, or end users (names, emails, phone numbers, or addresses of the people who see or interact with your ads). The advertising platforms do not expose this data to advertisers or their agencies in routine workflows.
- We do not store passwords for any third-party platforms. Where required, we use OAuth-based access tokens or system user tokens authorized by you, which can be revoked at any time.
- We do not sell personal information to anyone, ever.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
- Service delivery: to deliver the advertising and operations services you have engaged us for, including campaign management, creative production, performance reporting, and account optimization.
- Internal operations: to operate and improve our internal performance marketing platform, including features such as performance dashboards, winner detection, iteration suggestions, and learnings capture.
- Billing and accounting: to issue invoices, process payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Client communications: to send service updates, performance reports, strategic recommendations, and respond to client inquiries.
- Security and integrity: to authenticate users, detect and prevent fraud or abuse, and maintain the security of our systems.
- Legal compliance: to comply with applicable laws, respond to legal process, and protect our rights and the rights of our clients.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information in these limited circumstances:
- With service providers: we share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf (cloud hosting providers, payment processors, email and messaging providers, analytics providers). These providers are contractually bound to use the information only to perform services for us and to maintain appropriate security.
- With advertising platforms: to operate your campaigns, we interact with advertising platforms (such as Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Google) through their official APIs. Data flows between TrendScale and these platforms as required to deliver the service.
- Within your authorized team: TrendScale employees and contractors who work on your account have access to the information needed to deliver your services, governed by role-based permissions and confidentiality obligations.
- For legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our clients or others.
- In a business transaction: if TrendScale is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the continued application of this policy or an equivalent successor policy.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:
- Client business records (contracts, invoices, communications): retained for the duration of the engagement plus seven years for tax, accounting, and legal compliance, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Advertising performance data: retained for the duration of the engagement plus a reasonable period after termination to support historical reference, learnings, and dispute resolution.
- Website analytics and logs: retained for up to 24 months.
- Access tokens and credentials: retained only while active. Revoked or expired tokens are deleted within a reasonable time.
Clients may request earlier deletion of specific data, subject to our legal and contractual obligations.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including:
- Encrypted connections (TLS) for all data in transit
- Role-based access control within the TrendScale platform
- Secret management for API tokens and credentials, isolated from application code
- Regular security review of integrations with third-party advertising platforms
- Multi-tenant isolation in our platform so clients cannot see each other's data
No security measure is perfect. If you believe your information has been compromised through TrendScale, contact us immediately at the address below.
7. Your rights
Depending on the jurisdiction you are in, you may have the following rights regarding your information:
- Access: request a copy of the information we hold about you
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion: request deletion of information, subject to our legal and contractual obligations
- Portability: request a copy of certain information in a structured, commonly used format
- Restriction or objection: request that we limit or stop certain uses of information
- Withdrawal of consent: where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in the Contact section. We will respond within the time frame required by applicable law.
8. International data transfers
TrendScale operates internationally. Information we collect may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States and the European Economic Area. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.
9. Children's privacy
TrendScale's services are intended for business use and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
10. Third-party platforms
Our services involve close integration with third-party advertising platforms. Each of those platforms has its own privacy policy that governs how it handles data. Notable ones include:
This policy describes TrendScale's practices. It does not govern what those platforms do with data once it enters their systems.
11. Cookies and tracking
trendscale.net and app.trendscale.net use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect functionality of the platform.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, notify clients directly. Continued use of our services after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
